My Saving Habits ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information when you use the My Saving Habits mobile application ("App").
1. Data Controller
My Saving Habits is the data controller for personal data processed through this App.

2. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use the App, we collect the following data:
Account Data (via Firebase Authentication):
- Email address
- Display name (the name you choose at registration)
- Authentication tokens (used to keep you logged in)
- Sign-in method (email/password or Google)
Financial Data (via Cloud Firestore):
- Budget entries, income, fixed and variable expenses
- Investment records
- Savings goals and progress
- Reminders and notes you create in the App
We do NOT collect:
- Your real name, address, phone number, or ID documents
- Bank account numbers, card numbers, or financial credentials
- Location or GPS data
- Device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID)
- Usage analytics or behaviour tracking
- Crash reports sent to external servers
- Advertising data of any kind
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide the App's functionality:
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To store and sync your financial data across your devices
- To display your budget, goals, and statistics within the App
- To send password reset emails when you request them
- To send email verification upon registration
We do NOT use your data for:
- Advertising or marketing to third parties
- Selling or renting your data to anyone
- Profiling or automated decision-making
- Any purpose other than running the App
4. Third-Party Services
Google Firebase (Google LLC):
- Firebase Authentication — manages user accounts and login
- Cloud Firestore — stores your financial data securely in the cloud
- Firebase servers are located in Google's global infrastructure
- Google's Privacy Policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
Google Sign-In (optional):
- If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us for account creation purposes only
We do NOT use:
- Firebase Analytics or any analytics SDK
- Advertising networks
- Data brokers or tracking services
5. Data Storage & Security
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections
- Firebase Authentication uses secure, hashed password storage
- Access to your data is restricted to your account only
- ProGuard code obfuscation protects the App from reverse engineering
- We never store your financial data on our own servers — only on Firebase
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the App via Profile → Account Management → Delete Account. You may also clear all financial data without deleting your account via Profile → Account Management → Clear All Data. Upon account deletion, all your personal data and financial records will be permanently deleted from Firebase within 30 days.
7. Notifications & Reminders
Reminders use your device's local notification system only. Notification content is not transmitted to external servers. All reminders are managed on your device.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR & Applicable Law
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — delete your account and all data directly in the App via Profile → Account Management → Delete Account, or contact us at contact@mysavinghabits.com
- Portability — export your financial data using the Export CSV feature
- Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data
- Objection — object to processing of your data
- Withdraw consent — delete your account at any time via Profile → Account Management → Delete Account

We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain EU jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us immediately at contact@mysavinghabits.com and we will delete the account.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be stored on Google Firebase servers located outside your country of residence. Google applies appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
